About
I grew up in Treviglio, a small town near Milan, Italy. I went to a language-focused high school where I studied English, Spanish, and Chinese, which is probably why I ended up speaking a few languages and being comfortable in places where I don't fully understand what's going on.
After high school I moved to Milan for university. I studied Economics & Finance at Bocconi, spent a semester abroad at UADE in Buenos Aires, and eventually moved to the US for work. These days I'm based near Atlanta, working as a Business Analyst at Piana Technology, where I end up building a lot of the tools and systems I analyze.
I also write. I started The Bear Street Journal back in 2022 as a way to think through topics in finance, technology, and geopolitics. It has since grown into a proper publication with 50+ articles. Writing is how I process ideas: if I can't explain something clearly, I probably don't understand it well enough yet.
Beyond work
I travel a lot, usually with a backpack and not much of a plan. It started right after high school with a month through Spain and France on a tight budget. That set the tone. During my exchange semester in Argentina I kept going south, then east, spending two months making my way from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro. Before graduating I did a month in Japan, from Tokyo to Hiroshima, and somehow talked myself into climbing Mount Fuji. Most recently I spent a month in Colombia, from MedellĂn to the Caribbean coast, while waiting for my US visa to come through.
